I got a chance to relax at a small beach in michigan before I get ready to head back to new york.  don't worry detroit, i'll be back soon :-)  but new york....here I come :-)  I think this video I did is artsy and cool. lol

So here it is...the video from last night opening for Hush (geffen records), I had so much fun.  It was an honor to have Ivan "Groove" Prosper from Black Bottom Collective on percussion for me, he did his thing :-)
I have to run to sound check now for another show tonight in Detroit...........so peace !!

A new beginning

so the new mayaeni.com has arrived!!!  there are also a lot of new things coming up so be sure to check this "news" page often, as there will be live video posted from shows, etc...  I'll keep you updated on what's going on.

the song playing on the site "don't fake it" is one of my favorite songs off the new album "mayaeni". which is available now on mayaeni.com.  you know you wanna get it :-) lol.  you can also preview some of my other songs in the media section.

i want to specifically thank all the people involved for getting this site up.  rachel kemper your pics are amazing and the site wouldn't even look hot if you didn't do my pics.  yalenis you are the best, and your stylin' made everything perfect.  melissa crist, i'm not sure as to why i got so lucky getting you to do my makeup for the shoot, but i'm very happy i did, u rock!!.  adrian and roland for getting us the awesome location for the shoot. brian boulos for also capturing great shots of me.  rico steal for helping me out and dealing with pepper lol.  my manager/daddy for putting so much into all of this.  my mommy for still sticking with me on this. my brother for making sure i stay fly and always keepin' it real.  all my amazing friends who continue to support me hardcore.  finally and most importantly talib kareem for dealing with my extra particular ass and working on my site, as well as umm everything else for me lol.

okay don't need to make this too long. i'm acting like i'm accepting a grammy over here lol. i'm just very appreciative of everything, as we all work hard.  so check back soon, xoxoxo............
